Blood pressure monitoring is useful in many contexts – during general anaesthetics, monitoring elderly animals and investigating certain diseases. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a very common disease of older cats.
In order to try and detect hypertension early we recommend regular blood pressure checks in older cats, as well as any animal with chronic renal failure, hyperthyroidism or heart disease. Hypertension is a cause of sudden-onset blindness or other ocular signs.
Ear disease is one of the most common problems we see in practice. For our worst cases, we are able to take digital photographs, that allow us to show you what is happening inside your pet’s ear, as well as keeping a visual record of their progress.
